Maine freshman RHP Michael Poole brings a high-upside arm with strikeout pedigree
Michael Poole is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound freshman right-hander for Maine who arrives with a polished track record from Westerly High, where he was a two-time captain, two-time state champion, and posted a 1.60 ERA with 270 strikeouts in 171 innings through 2024-2025. That kind of command-and-miss résumé matters: he looks like a durable, competitive arm with real swing-and-miss upside and strong feel for winning baseball. If your staff wants a young pitcher with size, toughness, and a proven strike-throwing foundation, Poole is a name worth circling.
