Jared Byers brings SEC-style edge to the Lions secondary
Jared Byers is listed by ESPN as a Southeastern Louisiana cornerback, and that alone makes him worth watching in a defense that values coverage versatility and physical play on the perimeter[4]. Publicly available recruiting-era and roster-style data on his current college production is limited, so the best read is that he profiles as a defensive back whose fit will depend on how well he translates speed, technique, and reliability in one-on-one coverage—traits coaches tend to value as much as raw stats. If your team needs a DB who can compete with consistency and develop into a dependable matchup piece, Byers is the kind of player to track closely[4].
