Kelby Valsin is a reliable slot option and special-teams contributor for Texas Tech
In the 2025 season, Kelby Valsin was Texas Tech’s primary backup slot receiver, appearing in all 14 games and catching 3 passes for 35 yards while also handling meaningful kick- and punt-return duties. He stands out more for versatility and assignment reliability than volume: Texas Tech notes he was a regular on special teams and played all 3 catches on 3 targets across 65 offensive snaps. That makes him a useful fit for teams valuing toughness, route discipline, and multiple-role depth rather than a pure stat-sheet star.
