Citadel DB Freshman with SoCon Tackle Punch
Demontrelle Smith, a freshman defensive back for the Citadel Bulldogs, ranks 14th in the SoCon with 4 tackles and 0.80 tackles per game through 5 games in the 2021 season, showcasing early impact in conference play.[1] His differentiators include raw athleticism and quick instincts as a true freshman starter at strong safety, backed by high school pedigree from North Marion (FL).[7] No notable injury history; his intensity and football IQ make him a versatile DB fit for teams needing immediate depth—watch for breakout potential in FCS ranks.[4][8]
