UTEP’s Montrel Allen is a tiny-guard spark with upside
Montrel Allen is listed as a 5-8 guard for UTEP, and the early stat line is modest in the 2025 season: 0.3 points, 0.0 assists, 0.0 steals, and 0.1 rebounds per game, which suggests a development role more than a featured one[1][2]. What makes him intriguing is the guard profile and the possibility of being a quick, disruptive backcourt piece rather than a volume scorer[1]. If your team needs size, he is not the fit; if you want an energy guard who can grow into pace, pressure, and change-of-gear value, he’s worth keeping on the radar[1][2].
