Steven Meier is a high-impact, on-base threat for Troy
In the 2025 season, Meier was Troy’s everyday center fielder and one of the Sun Belt’s most disruptive leadoff-type bats: .300 with a .447 OBP, 60 runs, 24 steals, 29 HBPs, and a 44-game on-base streak. His profile stands out because he combines speed, plate discipline, and willingness to take a hit, making him a difficult at-bat and a steady table-setter. He also flashed clutch value with a go-ahead ninth-inning homer at Mississippi State. The main fit question is durability, as he has dealt with right-shoulder surgeries, but the production and edge are real.[1][2][6]
