Samford’s Lydia McGee brings veteran guard value and steady two-way presence
Lydia McGee is a redshirt senior guard for Samford whose game is built around experience, poise, and dependable all-around production. Her high school track record showed balanced impact — 8.7 points, 3.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds, and a strong defensive profile with 149 career games listed on MaxPreps — suggesting a player who can handle the ball, keep an offense organized, and contribute on both ends. Samford has also highlighted her as a veteran leader, which matters for teams looking for a mature, lower-drama guard who can fit quickly into a system.
