Southern DB Marcus Doss offers experience and back-end flexibility
Marcus Doss is a **Southern University defensive back** whose value is in steady coverage skills, defensive versatility, and the kind of reliability coaches usually trust in high-leverage moments; ESPN lists him on the Jaguars’ roster, and Southern’s 2024 box score records show him appearing in game action for the program.[2][1] For a team looking for a DB who can fit into multiple coverages and compete with discipline rather than flash, Doss profiles as a solid, coachable option—more of a dependable piece than a headline-grabbing stat machine.
