low-volume Cal linebacker with a special-teams profile
Wainwright’s current production is modest — 7 tackles, 1 assist, and no sacks or passes defended in the available 2026 stat snapshot — so his value is more about role and upside than box-score impact.[1] He brings linebacker size and Cal experience, having joined the program as a junior after two seasons at College of the Sequoias, which suggests a player with a developed college-ready frame and a transferable junior-college background.[5] He looks like a fit for teams wanting depth, physicality, and special-teams utility rather than an instant starter.
