veteran WVU linebacker with proven leadership pedigree
Anthony Leonard is listed by West Virginia as a 6-1, 246-pound linebacker from McKeesport, Pa., but the bigger story is the profile underneath the size: he arrived with a reputation for leadership, physicality, and a high-motor defensive style. His football background is well known for toughness and production at the prep level, and his WVU history ties him to a defense that finished second nationally in 2010. If you want a linebacker type who brings edge, discipline, and a team-first mentality, Leonard checks that box; if you need flash, he’s more grinder than highlight reel.
