intriguing Portland State linebacker, but current production is hard to verify
Sam Gordon is listed as a Portland State Vikings linebacker, but publicly available stat-tracking is sparse, so the clearest read is that he’s more of an evaluation name than a fully documented production profile right now. The upside case is a linebacker build with the kind of early-work, grinder mentality that can fit a program needing physicality, effort, and special-teams value. The caution flag: there isn’t enough reliable 2026 performance data here to stamp him as a proven difference-maker yet, so he looks like a fit for a team that values development and role-specific toughness over instant headline stats.
