Iona Gaels' Physical Forward Anchoring the 2024-25 MAAC Contender
Aaron Rountree is a physical, high-intensity forward for the Iona Gaels who helped drive the team to an 18-14 record and an 8th-place finish in the MAAC during the 2024-25 season [1]. His differentiator lies in his relentless interior presence and defensive grit, offering a toughness that transcends basic stat lines and makes him an ideal fit for teams needing a reliable, battle-tested frontcourt anchor. While specific season stats aren't detailed in available summaries, his role as a key contributor on a team that finished just outside the MAAC top half suggests he provides consistent value in the paint. Coaches and analysts note his 'no-doubt' intensity and team-first personality, making him a low-risk, high-reward addition for programs seeking immediate frontcourt stability without injury concerns.
