Cal Poly fullback Matt Rulon is a blue-collar, downhill hammer
Matt Rulon’s profile at Cal Poly points to a classic serviceable fullback: compact at 5-10, 220, physical, and trusted enough to appear in all 11 regular-season games in 2012 while logging 22 carries for 120 yards in the 2012 season. His best trait is versatility—he wasn’t just a lead blocker, but also chipped in on special teams with four tackles, which is the kind of gritty value coaches love. If you want a tone-setter who embraces dirty work and brings toughness, he fits the mold.
