Matthew Donnison Is a Breakout-Track Arm for Illinois State
In the 2025 season, Matthew Donnison emerged as one of Illinois State’s most valuable pitchers, earning All-MVC Honorable Mention after posting a 1.86 ERA in MVC play with 21 appearances, 39.2 innings, and 51 strikeouts—team-leading production out of the bullpen. Entering 2026, he was named to the MVC preseason Players to Watch list and was one of the Redbirds’ key returners, which signals real conference-level respect.
