Sophia LoPiccolo is CCSU’s clutch utility bat with pop
In the 2026 season, Sophia LoPiccolo was a steady middle-order spark for Central Connecticut, appearing in 34 games with 32 starts and posting .276/.299/.471 with 3 home runs, 8 doubles, 24 RBI, and 15 runs scored. She also earned NEC Player of the Week honors after a huge .875 week with nine RBI, which screams timely bat and confidence under pressure. The utility label fits: she brings lineup flexibility, run production, and a knack for delivering in key spots—exactly the kind of versatile, competitive piece a coach can trust.
