Curtis Underwood brings reliable size and steady production to NC State’s backfield
Underwood is a compact, physical **power back** at 6-foot, 210 pounds who has shown steady efficiency for NC State, including a 2023 total of 66 carries for 316 yards and a touchdown at 4.8 yards per carry[5]. Earlier in his career, he earned attention for a high-volume, big-play high school résumé and the kind of toughness that coaches value in short-yardage and clock-control roles[6]. He may not be the flashiest name, but if your team wants a sturdy, experienced runner who can handle contact and stay on script, he fits the bill[3][5].
