Beckham Wyrick brings old-school wing toughness to UNCW
In the 2005-06 season, Beckham Wyrick was a 6-6 forward who gave UNCW steady, physical production: 4.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while shooting 35.6% from the field. He stood out more as a glue guy than a bucket hunter — a rebounder, competitor and timely scorer who helped the Seahawks win a CAA title and earned academic honors, which says plenty about his reliability and discipline. If your team wants grit, size and a player who fits winning basketball without needing the spotlight, he’s the kind of guy coaches notice fast.
