Jariyah Covington brings scoring punch and two-way guard impact for Jackson State
Covington is a proven Jackson State guard who has combined efficient scoring with playmaking and defensive activity, averaging a team-leading 15.0 points per game with 52 assists and 36 steals across 23 games in the referenced season, and earning All-SWAC Second Team recognition.[6][5] ESPN lists her at 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, showing a steady all-around contributor rather than a pure scorer.[1] Her value is the blend of shot creation, toughness, and disruptive defense, which makes her a strong fit for teams needing a reliable backcourt producer who can influence games without dominating the ball.[2][6]
