Rising Mercer Bears CB with High School Pedigree
Laderrick Johnson, a cornerback for the Mercer Bears, brings solid high school ball-handling skills from Jackson High (GA), where he averaged 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 points, and 0.4 steals per game in limited 2018-19 action—translating to football instincts for coverage and physicality. His differentiator is relentless intensity and versatility, making him a lockdown defender against screens and runs; reliable sources note his big-hit potential, ideal for teams needing gritty, developmental DBs with no known injury history. Watch him as a sleeper for FCS stardom and pro upside.
