Alexxus Sowell brings size, rim protection, and rebound juice to Savannah State
Alexxus Sowell is a 6-foot-3 center for Savannah State whose game has long been defined by interior impact: in the 2017-18 season she posted a 5.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, 43.0% shooting line and previously logged a breakout defensive stretch with 8.7 rebounds and 5.0 blocks per game over a three-game run, which earned her MEAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors. Her value is the kind coaches love in the paint—physicality, shot-blocking, and board work—plus she has shown she can deliver double-double type production when engaged. If your team needs a true center who can alter shots and clean the glass, she fits the bill.
