Nia Ford brings steady guard play and veteran scoring pop to NCCU
Nia Ford has been a useful North Carolina Central guard, with ESPN listing her at 4.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game in the 2022-23 season, while NCCU’s stats show she played 21 games and averaged 5.9 points in the 2021-22 season[10][7]. Her best selling point is shot-making: she flashed real perimeter confidence as a freshman, including a 19-point outburst against Howard in 2022 and multiple games where she stretched the defense with threes[3][12]. At 5-foot-11, she brings size for the guard spot and looks like a fit for teams needing a poised, catch-and-shoot backcourt piece rather than a high-usage creator[13][3].
