Northwestern’s record-book QB with a gunslinger’s touch
In the 2005 season, Brett Basanez led Northwestern with 3,622 passing yards, 21 passing touchdowns, and a 63.2% completion rate, finishing his Wildcats career with 10,580 passing yards and 44 touchdowns. He was a productive dual-threat before that label became trendy, but the real separator was his command of the offense and volume production in a high-usage role. The caveat: his career also came with interception swings, so he fit best for a team that values poise, toughness, and a quarterback who can carry the load.
