From Iowa State Standout to NFL Cornerback in Development
T.J. Tampa Jr. has transitioned from a standout college career at Iowa State to his professional tenure with the Baltimore Ravens. In the 2023 college season, Tampa recorded 44 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 7 pass breakups, earning preseason first-team All-Big-12 honors. Selected 130th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, Tampa is an all-around cornerback with excellent coverage skills and physical presence at 6'2", 200 lbs. His rookie NFL season showed growing pains (47.4 PFF grade in 2024), but his college film demonstrates the ball-hawking instincts and tackling ability scouts covet. Best fit for teams valuing developmental cornerback prospects with high athletic ceilings and proven college production.
