Shannon Maynard brings disruptive downhill play to Morgan State’s linebacker room
Maynard is a physical, assignment-sound linebacker who has shown he can impact games with pressure, pursuit, and tackling volume; Morgan State’s roster notes he averaged 17 tackles per game and totaled 117 tackles in 7 games, while a 2020 recap credits him with harassing Bethune-Cookman’s quarterback throughout the contest. At 6-foot-2 and 205 pounds, he profiles as a tough, active defender who fits best in an aggressive scheme that values instinct, motor, and run support. If you want a tone-setter who plays with edge, he is worth a look.
