Drew Talavs brings swing-and-miss stuff and big-game poise for San Diego State
In the 2026 season, the junior right-hander posted a 4-4 record with a 6.57 ERA, 62 strikeouts in 61.2 innings, and a .269 opponent batting average, while making 14 starts in 15 appearances for San Diego State[1][2]. He’s the kind of arm teams notice because the fastball plays up when he’s locating, he can pile up strikeouts in bunches, and he already flashed tournament juice with 5 2/3 scoreless innings, five Ks, and no walks in the Mountain West Championship[1][2].
