Jacob Lopez-Veasey brings freshman size, Texas-local upside, and early playmaking juice to UTSA's front
In the 2026 season, Jacob Lopez-Veasey is already active for UTSA and has logged a tackle in the Roadrunners’ opener, a small but encouraging first data point for a freshman defensive lineman. At 6-foot-5 and around 255-265 pounds, he has the frame coaches love, and his high school résumé points to real disruption upside: 32 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, eight sacks and two forced fumbles as a senior at Cornerstone Christian, plus earlier all-district/all-state recognition. He looks like a long, physical edge/DL prospect with room to grow into a bigger role.
