Experienced Western Carolina safety with a proven defensive pedigree
O.J. Owens is a veteran-style defensive back who brings size, experience, and a safety’s mindset to Western Carolina’s secondary; listed at 6-0 and 186 pounds, he was originally a Tennessee recruit and later appeared on Western Carolina’s roster, which suggests a player with Power-conference background and adaptability. Publicly available stat lines are limited, so his value is best understood through profile: a steady, physical fit for a team that wants reliability, field awareness, and depth in the back end rather than a pure highlight-reel playmaker.
