Davidson QB Matt Heavner brings veteran arm talent and big-play pedigree
Matt Heavner is a veteran Davidson quarterback whose game profile is built on size, poise, and a proven ability to stretch defenses, highlighted in his prep career by a 99-yard touchdown pass and all-conference recognition. In the 2011 season, Davidson listed him at 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, and reports from that era show he could operate as a steady distributor, including an 18-completion, 135-yard outing in a season opener. The appeal here is clear: if you want a QB who can handle structure, keep an offense on schedule, and still flash explosive upside, Heavner fits the mold.
