tough Delta Devils safety with local-legend upside
Courtney Smith appears to be a Mississippi Valley State safety profile with a physical, back-end-defender vibe, but current public stat detail is thin, so the biggest read is fit and role rather than flashy numbers. The appeal is in the classic safety toolkit: reliability, run support, and the kind of toughness coaches love when they need a steady piece on the perimeter. If the staff is looking for a high-effort, scheme-trustable defensive back who can help stabilize coverage and bring some edge, Smith is the kind of player worth a closer look.
