USC’s explosive, high-mileage workhorse who could take over a game
In his USC years, Sultan McCullough stood out as a fast, physical tailback who could handle heavy volume and still create chunk plays; in a 2002 USC win over Washington, he carried 39 times for 176 yards and a touchdown, a good snapshot of his downhill engine and durability. He was also a proven big-game producer, with USC noting he had topped 100 rushing yards eight times by 2001 and run for 1,163 yards in the prior season. At the pro level, his career was brief, which makes the question less about upside and more about fit: a team wanting burst, toughness, and an every-down mentality would have liked him.
