Darrell Johnson brings Delaware guard size and local upside
Darrell Johnson is a 6-foot-4 freshman guard from New Castle, Delaware, giving the Blue Hens a homegrown backcourt piece with size and positional versatility in the 2026 season. His profile suggests a long, physical guard who can handle multiple backcourt jobs, and his local ties add a natural buy-in factor. The key question is polish and role fit—he looks like a development-friendly prospect rather than an instant stat-sheet bully, but that combination of length, toughness, and upside can be exactly what a team wants in a rotation guard.
