Boston College linebacker Michael Gaffney brings old-school toughness and high-upside depth
Michael Gaffney is a classic Boston College-type linebacker: physical, disciplined, and built on production, not flash. In his high school career, he stacked up 115 tackles as a senior and 85 as a junior at BC High, and BC’s roster notes also highlight strong academics and a multi-sport background—clues to a player with football IQ and work ethic. He profiles as the kind of LB coaches trust for effort, reliability, and downhill contact; if you want a tone-setter who fits a hard-nosed defensive culture, he’s the right flavor.
