Jaylyn Monds brings experience, versatility, and a ball-hawking pedigree to Duquesne's secondary
Jaylyn Monds enters the 2026 season as a seasoned defensive back for Duquesne after two years at Eastern Michigan, where he played in 11 games and finished with 13 tackles in 2025, plus 2.5 tackles for loss in 2024. He’s a former three-star recruit with 27 Division I offers, and his high-school tape pops: 19 passes defended as a senior, along with 17 breakups and two interceptions. The fit is appealing for a defense that wants a competitive, experienced DB who can help in coverage and bring the edge that usually shows up before the stat sheet does.
