Tony Carter is Furman’s steady backcourt engine
In the 2023-24 Furman record book, Tony Carter is still framed as a program staple whose game is built on control, distribution, and reliability rather than flash. Furman’s long-running profile of him described a “pure point guard” with quickness, shooting touch, and strong leadership, and ESPN listed him at 7.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game with a 40.0% field-goal mark. If you want a guard who can organize an offense, defend with effort, and keep the floor balanced, Carter’s profile screams glue guy with a competitive edge.
