Aaron Alston is a savvy, high-motor forward with proven SWAC experience
Aaron Alston brings real college-basketball seasoning to Southern: in the 2012-13 season, he played in Southern’s NCAA-tournament run, and later at Cal State LA he showed he could give a team solid frontcourt minutes, averaging 7.0 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in the 2014-15 season. At 6-foot-7, he profiles as a versatile, physical forward who can rebound, finish, and do the dirty work; that kind of glue-guy value matters for teams needing toughness, maturity, and low-drama reliability. If Southern wants an experienced connector who won’t need the ball to impact the game, he fits the bill.
