Damarius Yates brings SEC-ready burst and big-play juice to Ole Miss
Damarius Yates enters Ole Miss as a highly regarded freshman back, ranked by the Rebels as the No. 9 running back nationally and a unanimous four-star prospect after a monster senior season at Kemper County, where he rushed for 2,080 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2025. He stands out for explosive open-field speed, touchdown production, and workhorse volume, but the bigger fit question is how quickly he adapts to SEC physicality after arriving from the high school level. His recent off-field arrest adds a little turbulence, so the talent is obvious, but the developmental runway and maturity piece matter too.
