Bill Ross was a tackling machine at UAPB, bringing old-school run-stuffing authority
In the 2012 season, Bill Ross was a first-team All-SWAC linebacker for Arkansas-Pine Bluff and a defensive tone-setter, finishing with 127 total tackles and even scoring on a 73-yard fumble return in the SWAC title game. He was praised for his size, fundamentals, and ability to stop the run, with multiple reports noting that he led the SWAC in tackles at different points and was widely viewed as one of the league’s most productive defenders. If you want a physical, instinctive linebacker who plays with captain-level urgency, Ross fits.
