Dorian Smith brings veteran Beaver grit, but he’s not the current Oregon State DL to track
The available records point to an older Oregon State defensive lineman, not a current 2026 Beavers player, so there isn’t reliable current-performance data to evaluate for a modern roster fit. In his Oregon State playing days, Smith was a productive, disruptive DL who earned Pac-10 first-team honors and posted 42 tackles with 10.5 tackles for loss in 2007, the kind of backfield-penetrating profile coaches love. If you’re assessing Oregon State’s current front, the key question is whether you want that same motor, toughness, and playmaking edge in a younger body.
