Sam Houston’s Donavan Williams brings veteran, downhill RB juice
Donavan Williams is a compact, experienced Sam Houston back who has long been valued for his power, contact balance, and reliable goal-line finishing—traits that made him a productive runner in earlier seasons and still give him utility as a tough, physical option. In the 2026 depth chart, he’s listed among the Bearkats’ backs, which suggests he remains in the mix as a trusted veteran presence rather than just a depth piece. If your team wants a runner who can absorb contact, stay composed, and punish defenses between the tackles, he fits the bill.
