June Ruiz Azkue brings international shot-making and guard toughness to Xavier
June Ruiz Azkue is a Xavier guard with a polished perimeter profile and real international seasoning; in her 2022-23 season, she posted 0.9 points, 0.4 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game while shooting 36.4% overall and 44.4% from three across 22 games. She’s intriguing because her resume includes high-level youth play in Spain, where Xavier notes she averaged 13.9 points with 2.7 made threes per game in Liga Vasca and produced steady two-way numbers in national competition. If your team wants a poised, spacing-friendly guard with an edge and experience beyond the usual freshman track, she’s the kind of sneaky-fit name that can quietly win minutes.
