Lucas Rost brings freshman playmaking juice to Bucknell’s secondary
In the 2026 season, Bucknell freshman safety Lucas Rost has already logged tackles in both of his first two games, including one solo stop at Richmond and two tackles against Villanova, while carrying a proven high-school résumé as a two-way captain with 200 career tackles, three INTs, and a defensive touchdown. His biggest differentiators are versatility, toughness, and proven ball skills—he also played basketball, which usually shows up in change-of-direction and spatial awareness. For a team looking for a young DB with upside, he looks like a smart fit: active, physical, and still just scratching the surface.
