Veteran MSU DE with Proven Grit, But Limited Recent Stats
Evan Jones is a 6-5, 251-pound defensive end for Michigan State who earned respect as a three-year letterwinner with 23 tackles in 33 career games, including 1 sack and 8 solo stops in his final seasons [1][4]. His differentiator isn't elite stat volume but **reliability and intensity**: he played 25 games over four years, started as a starter late in his career, and brought a physical, no-nonsense edge from Ridgewood High in Ohio [1][7]. While his production was modest (23 career tackles), Jones showed **growth in maturity**, evolving from a backup to a potential starter by 2016, suggesting he thrives in high-pressure, disciplined environments [7]. However, with no recent stats beyond 2016 and no current roster presence in 2024–2025, he is likely **not active for your team today**—ideal only if you're seeking a veteran with proven grit for a developmental or mentorship role, not a current stat leader [1][10].
