Aiden VanDeHatert brings left-handed strikeout upside to DBU
Aiden VanDeHatert is a 6-foot-4, left-handed pitcher at Dallas Baptist whose biggest calling card is swing-and-miss stuff: in the 2026 season, he struck out 35 batters in 31 innings while working as a flexible bullpen arm and occasional starter. He’s shown enough arm talent to miss bats at a strong clip, with reports of a sinker sitting 91-94 mph and touching 95, plus a changeup and slider mix. The fit is intriguing if your staff wants a power lefty with upside; the knock is consistency, since his 2026 ERA settled at 6.10.
