steady, high-IQ Tulsa tackle with academic grit
In the 2006 season, Mike Mengers was a reliable left tackle for Tulsa, starting all 13 games and earning Conference USA All-Academic honors with a 3.74 GPA in mechanical engineering[2][9][13]. He stood out for pass protection, improved run blocking, and consistency—plus the kind of leadership and toughness coaches love on the offensive line[2][11]. If you want a dependable, assignment-sound tackle who brings brains, durability, and veteran snaps, Mengers is a strong fit.
