Reliable lefty with starter traits and strike-throwing upside
Callaway is a useful Delaware LHP because he already profiles as a durable, multi-inning arm with starter potential: in 2026 he appeared in 17 games with three starts, logged a career-high 5.2 innings against Liberty, and struck out six at Lehigh, while his 2025 work showed 27 strikeouts in 29.2 innings and nine outings with one earned run or fewer. His calling cards are a three-pitch mix, athletic delivery, and the ability to work both sides of the plate; the risk is some run prevention inconsistency, but the blend of polish, competitiveness, and versatility makes him a fit for a staff needing a lefty who can start or bridge innings.[1][2][6]
