Hunter Phipps is a live College of Charleston righty with strikeout juice
In the 2025 season, Hunter Phipps showed real swing-and-miss upside for Charleston, posting a 3.77 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 14.1 innings across 12 appearances, including six straight scoreless outings early in the year; he also started a game and later worked 4.0 innings with 4 strikeouts against Campbell, a nice sign of starter-capable versatility. At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, the sophomore right-hander brings projectable size, a relief weapon’s punch, and enough polish to help in high-leverage innings—worth caring about if you want a competitive arm with room to keep climbing.
