UNC's Tenacious Defensive Sparkplug (2014-15)
Corey Spence, a 5'9" Baltimore native and UNC Bears guard, started 9 of the first 11 games in 2014-15, anchoring the point guard defense with lockdown intensity across 31 appearances while averaging 4.1 PPG, 1.7 RPG, and 2.0 APG on 37.2% FG (ESPN stats). His undersized frame belied elite hustle and court vision, making him a pesky disruptor—perfect for teams needing gritty, high-motor defenders who elevate teammates without needing the spotlight. Post-college, he grinded pro stints abroad, proving durable reliability.
