Virginia Tech freshman DL Andrew Hanchuk is a big-bodied, high-upside developmental piece
Hanchuk entered Virginia Tech as a 6'5", 283-pound defensive lineman and is still very much in the developmental stage after redshirting in 2024, so the appeal is projection more than production right now. He stands out for his size and edge-setting frame, and local high-school recognition as Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year suggests he brought real disruption ability to college. If you want a young trench defender with power-profile upside and room to grow, he fits; if you need an immediate snap-count producer, he is not there yet.
