Jessie Shorts gives Chicago State steady guard play and playmaking touch
Jessie Shorts has been a useful Chicago State guard with solid distribution, averaging 3.3 assists in the 2001-02 season while also contributing 1.3 steals per game and reliable free-throw shooting at 81.0%.[1] He is not a high-volume scorer yet, but his value is in creating offense, competing defensively, and giving the Cougars a composed, Chicago-born backcourt presence that can fit a team needing a stabilizing connector rather than a primary shot-creator.[1]
