Colt Garrett brings a cerebral, development-minded QB profile to Texas Tech
Garrett’s value is less about splashy box-score production and more about **experience, quarterback IQ, and leadership**, with Texas Tech recognizing him as a scout-team quarterback who also earned Academic All-Big 12 honors; he later played at Angelo State and continued drawing all-conference academic/athletic recognition. His profile suggests a **high-floor, detail-oriented fit** for a program that values preparedness, but available public stats and recruiting data do not indicate elite arm-strength or top-tier national quarterback ranking.
